Stand-alone microphone impact detector with thermal tamper detection device
The RMI01 is a stand-alone microphone impact detector. It is based on a new technology that combines all the advantages of a PIEZO transducer with those of a MEMS accelerometer in a single seismic sensor. The result is a detector capable of consistently delivering maximum performance without lengthy and complex calibration procedures. It guarantees protection for all types of walls (brick, reinforced concrete, tuff, etc.) as well as safes, ATMs, and cash registers. It also features an integrated thermal tamper detection device. Configuration and calibration are extremely simple and can be performed using an optional Wi-Fi dongle (RMIDNG) connected to the detector and the dedicated RMISETUP app for smartphones/tablets. The RMI01 implements sophisticated analysis algorithms to recognize different attack techniques against the protected structure: burglary (weak impacts), breakage (strong impacts), breakthrough (single, very strong impacts), and continuous vibrations (cutting or drilling with power tools). It also features anti-removal and anti-opening tamper protection, thermal tamper protection, programmable periodic self-test, and operational test. No mounting plate is required for correct sensor operation. An optional universal mounting plate (RMIBRK) is available for installation on uneven walls. It is certified to EN 50131-2-8 grade 3, environmental class II.
